Integration Details
The QuickBooks Time Connector integrates QuickBooks Time with RUN Powered by ADP (RUN). Employee information is synchronized from RUN into QuickBooks Time, and approved time data is transferred from QuickBooks Time to RUN for payroll processing each pay period.
Employee data is kept in sync so an employee's information and status are reflected in QuickBooks Time, eliminating double entry.

Access and sign-in
- ADP single sign-on: Purchasers and users assigned through ADP Marketplace can sign in to Dapt through the ADP Marketplace My apps page.
Dapt sign-on: All users can sign in with Dapt credentials.
Data sync frequency
- Near-real time.
• RUN Powered by ADP: ADP publishes additions and changes to an event queue, which Dapt monitors and acts on.
• QuickBooks Time: Dapt checks for changed records every 5 minutes and retrieves those that have changed.
• Time data to payroll: On demand — approved time is transferred each pay period when you send your payroll batch.
Data fields
- Dapt will send the following fields from RUN into QuickBooks Time:
• Employee First Name
• Employee Last Name
• Phone Number
• Email Address
• Employee ID (ADP File Number)
• Employment Status - Dapt will send summary hours from QuickBooks Time to RUN for payroll, for each employee who recorded time during the period:
• Time
• Time Type
• Employee ID (ADP File Number)
• Other earnings information (Per Diem, Paid Lunch, Mileage, etc.) as applicable
Employee Data Synchronization
Use the connector to synchronize Employee data between RUN and QuickBooks Time.
The connector includes the following actions:
- Adds a new team member to QuickBooks Time when a new employee is hired in ADP
- Changes a QuickBooks Time team member's status to inactive when an employee is terminated in ADP
- Updates the QuickBooks Time team member name, email, phone number, and payroll ID if a change is made in ADP
Time Data Transfer
The connector transfers total hours per pay period for all connected employees, creating a payroll batch in RUN for processing.
PTO Pay Code Synchronization
Connect your PTO types in QuickBooks Time to the pay codes set up in ADP to ensure that time off is properly handled.
