How we use AI
- Built in collaboration with IBM watsonx, Employ’s AI is designed to be transparent, secure, and accountable by default across our hiring suite —JazzHR, Lever, and Jobvite. Every recommendation is explainable, bias is continuously monitored, and governance is always on. That means hiring teams can move faster with confidence, knowing their AI is fair, auditable, and aligned with ethical hiring practices.
Talent Fit Candidate Matching
- Jobvite’s Talent Fit capability automatically identifies top-matched candidates based on job requirements, providing clear justification for each match. This helps recruiters quickly focus on high-potential applicants, saving time and streamlining the process.
To help prevent and mitigate bias in this tool, in the process of anonymization, we strip out any identifying information, including any data that alludes to race, age, gender or disability status. In addition, the Talent Fit prompt specifically instructs the LLM to disregard any data that alludes to these, in the event that the anonymization were to miss any data that indicates race, age, gender, disability or veteran status.
IBM watsonx.governance tracks Employ’s compliance as a software provider, helping ensure for our clients that the AI functions we create are free from bias. When evaluating bias in AI, we use a method similar to the way the EEOC determines if a hiring practice has resulted in an adverse impact. They use an impact ratio of 0.8 when measuring the selection rate of the group in the minority versus selection rate of the group in the majority. We will hold ourselves to a higher standard, ensuring we meet an impact ratio over 0.9. Should our number dip below that, we will be alerted immediately by IBM watsonx.governance and rectify immediately.
